Softball Week in Review: Week 4; May 13 - May 18
The
Dirty Pirates Sunday team sacked One-ders 12-2. John C, making his
first slow pitch start of the season, toyed with them for 5 innings
before manager Deryl B yanked the lefty for no other reason than
because. While the Pirates offense was stalled for most of the game,
they were never in peril.
On
Monday, EYS pounded a hapless Media Logic 15-0 despite rain and mud.
EYS started short handed, but Media Logic could not capitalize on the
two old guys in the outfield.
EYS
played again on Thursday and punished Scared Hitless for their bad pun.
The 20-3 drubbing fails to fully capture the lopsided nature of the
game.
Toyota
of Clifton Park Suffered their first defeat of the season 8-6 to a
revitalized Matchbox. Playing short handed, Toyota was sloppy in the
field and never gained any traction on offense. It surely wasn't a
great start by John C--who issued 3 walks and dealt 2 K's--but he gave
his team a chance for a W. Toyota never waved the white flag--battling
to the end while finishing the game with the go ahead run at the plate.
The Dirty Pirates surrendered to the weather.
Anarchy had no scheduled game.
