MisFits provide no Offense to Repeat Offenders; Drop Championship

MisFits: Media League Playoffs, Finals Round, Game 2

Repeat Offenders: 6
MisFits: 3

8/26, Tuesday, 6:00 PM @ Nott Rd Field #3

The MisFits season came to an abrubt, yet quiet ending last night after losing to Repeat Offenders--last year's Media League Champs--6-3. The MisFits overall record for the season was 11-5 with the 5 losses by a mere combined 8 runs. "We just didn't hit tonight..." said manager Bud B, "...nothing fell in. We hit 4 hot shots back to their pitcher and he made every play..." John C made his second consecutive start in the circle for the MisFits and Bud B elected to stick with him for the game. John C rewarded Bud's confidence by turning in 7 strong innings. "Not strong enough..." said John C, "...about 4 runs not strong enough..." The MisFits solidified their defense from Monday night with Matt T doing a fine job anchoring 3B and their typical lock down OF led by Todd S, Frank Z, Deron S, and Ben Ho. "It definitely wasn't our defense..." added Bud B, "...we just needed to score some runs."

Despite the loss, the MisFits had an excellent season and toasted their success with a nightcap at sponsor Across the Street Pub.

Congratulations on a great season Bud, Deron and the rest of you MisFits!
